What can go into a request

Bolts and screws, nuts, washers, threaded rods, rivets and common installation fixings. Share a standard or sample: products that look alike can have different threads, strength classes and uses.

How to describe the item

Specify metric or inch system, product type and standard, diameter and thread pitch, length and threaded portion, head and drive, material, strength class, finish, quantity and required records. For an assembly, list compatible nuts and washers too.

How we handle the request

From your brief, we can assess whether a standard item may be sourced, identify missing details and compare supplier quotations. Samples, lot traceability or inspection reports are separate requests and must be confirmed by the supplier.

What to check

Do not substitute a standard, strength class or finish just because an item looks similar. Thread fit, assembly compatibility, corrosion exposure and documentation needs must be confirmed for the application; UBP does not certify a product or its suitability.
