For a consumable, provide the maker and part number, machine or tool model, mounting point and operation. For abrasives, add format, dimensions, grit or grade, abrasive mineral and backing, work material and desired result.
02
Compatibility and acceptable equivalents
Specify performance or service-life needs, operating conditions, quantity, pack size and whether alternatives are acceptable. Approve any equivalent before purchase: a different grade or backing can change working speed and surface finish.
03
Preparing a sourcing request
We can gather details for sourcing standard tools and consumables and compare offers. Unusual machinery, hazardous materials or critical processes need a separate technical review by a qualified specialist.
Prepare your request
What to include in your RFQ
01
Item name, manufacturer and exact part number if known
02
Equipment model and mounting/connection type
03
Operation and material being worked
04
For abrasives: format, exact dimensions and grit/grade
05
Abrasive mineral and backing/disc or belt type
06
Required finish, productivity or service life
07
Quantity, order unit and replenishment frequency
08
Whether equivalents, samples or maker documents are acceptable
What to check
Labels such as “sanding belt” or “workshop supplies” do not establish compatibility. Check size, fit, equipment model, material and task; hazardous or safety-critical products need specialist review.
