PV MODULE SOURCING / UBP

Solar photovoltaic modules for defined projects

A module shortlist becomes useful only when electrical ratings, mechanical format, site exposure, quantity and documentary evidence are compared on the same project basis.

Discuss this sourcing brief
01Application first
Roof, ground, mobile or resale use changes the request.
02Electrical basis
Compare exact nameplate ratings and operating assumptions.
03Mechanical fit
Dimensions, weight, frame and mounting interfaces matter.
04Model evidence
Request documents for the exact offered module.
01 / Map the module fields before comparing offers

Map the module fields before comparing offers

01

Electrical profile

State required power class and the voltage, current and temperature data needed by the responsible designer.

Which exact ratings and tolerances must the supplier declare?
02

Module format

Record dimensions, weight, cell layout, frame, glass and connector arrangement.

Will the offered format fit the approved mounting and handling plan?
03

Site and environment

Describe installation location, wind or snow context, corrosion exposure, temperature and access.

Which environmental assumptions require project confirmation?
04

Supply and evidence

Define quantity, batch consistency, palletisation, labels, datasheets, declarations and test records.

Does the evidence cover the exact model and shipment?
02 / Keep four gates open until project parties confirm them

Keep four gates open until project parties confirm them

01

System match

Confirm
String design, inverter window and protection assumptions are confirmed for the exact module.
If unresolved
Nameplate power alone does not establish system compatibility.
02

Mechanical fit

Confirm
Dimensions, clamps, loads, roof or ground interfaces and access are confirmed.
If unresolved
A similar-size module can still conflict with the mounting design.
03

Environment

Confirm
The project party accepts the declared ratings for the actual site conditions.
If unresolved
Generic outdoor use does not resolve site-specific exposure.
04

Document coverage

Confirm
Datasheets and evidence identify the offered model and applicable variants.
If unresolved
A family document may not cover the supplied configuration.

04 / Prepare the request

Prepare the request

UBP coordinates requirements, supplier search, comparison and trade. Qualified parties confirm system design, structures, electrical compatibility, installation, conformity and final suitability.

  1. 01

    Application

State roof, ground, mobile, replacement or resale use.

  2. 02

    Power class

Give the target range without treating headline watts as the only criterion.

  3. 03

    Electrical data

List required voltage, current, temperature and tolerance fields.

  4. 04

    Dimensions and weight

Add dimensional limits, weight and handling constraints.

  5. 05

    Mounting and environment

Describe interfaces, exposure, temperature and access.

  6. 06

    Quantity and batch

State module count, delivery stages and batch-consistency needs.

  7. 07

    Packaging and logistics

Define pallet, protection, destination and delivery constraints.

  8. 08

    Documents

List exact datasheets, declarations, tests, labels and warranty route needed.

05 / Buyer questions

Buyer questions

Can modules be selected only by wattage?

No. Electrical windows, dimensions, mechanical interfaces, environment and exact model evidence also affect a responsible comparison.

Can a similar module replace an existing one?

Similarity is not confirmation. The responsible designer must review electrical and mechanical compatibility for the real system.

Does a certificate automatically cover every model?

No. Ask for the document scope, model identifiers, issuer and revision and compare them with the offered item.

What is needed before requesting commercial terms?

Provide the application, ratings, format, quantity, destination, packaging and document requirements so offers share one basis.

Does equipment supply include system design or installation?

Not by default. UBP can coordinate sourcing; qualified project parties retain design, structural, electrical and installation responsibility.
